Mondo Monday Comedy!

Join us every 3rd Monday for a fresh line-up brought to you and hosted by Greg Boggis.

This Month’s line-up:

Headliner: Kwasi Mensah

Kamau Bell and co-produces Laughing Liberally Boston, a show that combines comedy with progressive politics. He’s been featured in SF Sketchfest,  the Boston Comedy Festival, The Comedy Exposition in Chicago, and was chosen to be Comic In Residence for December 2017 at the The Comedy Studio.

Also appearing: Cher Lynn

Cher Lynn has performed at Comedy Store and L.A. Connection Comedy Theatre in Los Angeles. A member of SAG-AFTRA, she has worked in Theatre, Television, and Film. Cher has performed all over Boston, including Improv Boston, The Comedy Studio, Laugh Boston, Nick’s Comedy Stop, The Burren, The Riot Theatre, The Gas at Great Scott, and McGreevy’s. Cher studied acting with Howard Fine at his acting studio in Hollywood, California. She earned her Masters of Arts in Theatre Arts from California State University, Northridge and her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from San Diego State University. Her published Master’s Thesis is entitled, Underneath Her Skirt: Staging Samuel Beckett’s Happy Days as an Embodiment of The Feminine Mystique. Cher is a certified yoga instructor.

Loving Vincent @ The Luna Theater
Feb 23 @ 7:35 pm

Loving Vincent

PG13 ‧ 2017 ‧ Crime film/Drama ‧ 1h 35m

LOVING VINCENT is the world’s first fully oil painted feature film. Written & directed by Dorota Kobiela & Hugh Welchman, produced by Poland’s BreakThru Films & UK’s Trademark Films.

The film brings the paintings of Vincent van Gogh to life to tell his remarkable story. Every one of the 65,000 frames of the film is an oil-painting hand-painted by 125 professional oil-painters who travelled from all across the world to the Loving Vincent studios in Poland and Greece to be a part of the production. As remarkable as Vincent’s brilliant paintings, is his passionate and ill-fated life, and mysterious death.

No other artist has attracted more legends than Vincent van Gogh. Variously labelled a martyr, a lustful satyr, a madman, a genius and a layabout, the real Vincent is at once revealed in his letters, and obscured by myth and time. Vincent himself said in his last letter: ‘We cannot speak other than by our paintings’. We take him at his word and let the paintings tell the real story of Vincent van Gogh.
