Autumnal Equinox Celebration
September 29 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The Fall Equinox is a time of transition that asks us to slow down and cultivate an inwards gaze; a shift from our energy moving outwards during the summer. This class will welcome you into the new season, reaffirm your connection to self, and place a comforting blanket over any resistance to change.
Class will begin with 90 minutes of rejuvenating restorative yoga co-led by Stacey Lachapelle and Monica Kacprzyk. Our in-house musicians, Tony Menotti & Freddie Duquet, will co-create the live soundscape using an array of instruments including a gong, synthesizer, guitars, singing bowls, drums, and more. This multi-sensory experience will conclude with a 30-minute sound + yoga nidra (sleep) meditation.
After class we encourage you to hang out and connect with old and new friends! We will host a community potluck, filled with Ayurvedic seasonal treats, spiced drinks, and anything else you want to share. Optional $10 tarot card readings will be offered in the cave from 6-7pm.
This class is limited to 30 students! Please make sure to reserve your spot. No late arrivals allowed.
About Restorative Yoga
In restorative yoga, we practice postures supported by bolsters, blankets, blocks, and other props, which allow the body to gently and passively open. This style of yoga is open to everyone in every “level” of practice. Please inform the teacher if you have any limitations. Attendees are welcome to bring their own eye pillows.
