Dolly is back with a special Restorative Yoga + Reiki class, Friday November 10th 7-8:15pm!
Restorative yoga is a gentle practice that helps calm the sympathetic nervous system so the parasympathetic nervous system can take over, allowing the body to deeply relax and heal. This type of yoga can be an effective way to reduce stress, anxiety, and the busyness of life. Each reclined pose is supported with various props (blocks, bolsters, blankets, etc) and is designed to encourage an effective release of strain and tension. Each posture will be held for 5-7 minutes (or more!) to allow students to deeply settle into the supported pose. The relaxation and openness of restorative yoga perfectly prepares the body to experience Reiki energy healing. Reiki is the belief that vital energy flows through your body. While holding the poses, each student will experience the gentle touch of Reiki to help guide energy in a way that promotes balance and healing. Class will then end with a 15 minute yoga nidra meditation.
