DIY Lowell Community Chill Night

The Community Chill Night is DIY Lowell’s annual community-building fundraiser. In addition, the Community Chill Night features:

– Live entertainment
– Family-friendly games and activities
– Community awards such as “Lowell Volunteer of the Year”
– Our famous “Do-it-Yourself” Sundae Bar (A “chilly” dessert)
– Beer, seltzer, and cider available at the bar

Our theme this year? Travel the world without leaving Lowell! Every year, in a twist on a traditional chili cookoff, we invite not only traditional American chilis but other spicy stews from any culture to reflect Lowell’s unique diversity. This year, we’re taking it to the next level, giving an award to the crowd’s favorite Traditional Spicy Stew, along with highlighting other ways about how Lowell is the perfect city to experience the world in your backyard.

All proceeds go to DIY Lowell, a grassroots group dedicated to helping community members make small-scale projects and events happen together. We connect people with ideas to funding, technical assistance, and most importantly to one another. Our goals are to use small-scale projects to build lasting, exciting public space improvements; civic engagement skills among youth and adults; and bridges between our diverse communities.
